Healing Kenya's sick hospitals : Gov't orders countrywide inspection

Health cabinet secretary Sicily Kariuki has ordered an immediate inspection  of all hospitals  across the country  warning that any facility  found to be offering sub-standard services will be de-registered.
The directive comes a  day after Machakos governor Dr. Alfred Mutua and the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board ordered the closure of Shalom community hospital and the transfer of all patients following the death of a minor.
