DDC Budgam Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar reviews functioning of Health department Budgam, May 16: District Development Commissioner, Budgam Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar today convened a meeting of officers of Health department to review its functioning. During the review key areas particularly facilitation of services through its SDHs, PHCs, NTPHCs and SHCs, infrastructure development, equipment availability, staff in place, requirements/ demands were discussed in detail.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Budgam, Khurshid Ahmad Sanai, ADC Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani, CMO, Dr Nazeer Ahmad, all BMOs and other concerned. CMO Budgam during the meeting presented in detailed the status of activities undergoing and services available in the health sector , availability position of equipment/ machinery and staff particularly doctors and para-medics in place, existing shortages, attachments and deployments, status of new PHCs, status of referrals and daily admission of patients at all health centers of the district. It was also given out that under Ayushman Bharat against the target of 93317 registrations across the district till date, about 70437 deserving beneficiaries have been registered so far and 13000 registrations are under process. So far under this programme 917 patients have benefited, 851 through private and 66 patients through government hospitals.
Speaking on the occasion the DDC stressed upon all the concerned that while rendering duties they need to do it with utmost care and compassion and with professional integrity. She directed the CMO to resolve all issues relating to land disputes involving PHCs on fastback basis so that more and more health care centers are made functional enabling the department to expand its reach with more quality. The DDC also stressed for maintaining punctuality at centers and ensure bio-metric attendances at all SDHs and other health centers.
She stressed on providing hassle-free health services to the general public and instructed concerned to ensure curtailment in unnecessary referrals from local health centers.
