K-pop fans were given the ultimate treat yesterday when Big Hit confirmed the first member of their new boyband, Tomorrow x Together, or TXT. And the agency is giving the people what they want, albeit very slowly, by dripfeeding us more information about the new band. After unveiling Yeonjun as the first member of the group, Big Hit has revealed that the baby-faced idol is the eldest member of the group. They described Yeonjun as a ’19-year-old member with outstanding dancing skills’ – hinting he may be a member of the dance line, rather than the group’s rapper, as previously rumoured.
While we don’t know how many members TXT will have – although sources claim there will be five boys in the group – Big Hit detailed the concept of the band as we await the reveal of the other members. They said in a statement: ‘TOMORROW X TOGETHER is a bright and youthful boyband where each member is different from one another, shining in their own way to create a synergy. ‘Just as how their name suggests, the different members have all come together under one dream in hopes of building a new tomorrow.’ We’re into it.
