Today is day 13 and all about eliminating junk mail and reducing the number of solicitations you receive. Here is the steps I mention in the video along with links to get you started:
1. Remove your name from mailing lists at
2. Opt out of credit card solicitations at 888-567-8688 or
3. Opt out of phone book mailings at
4. Call companies you do business with and request to be removed from their mailing list or ask them to put you on digital delivery options.
5. Put "return to sender" on unsolicited mail and put back in your mailbox
6. Remove your name from smaller bulk mailing lists like:
-- Valpak - 727-399-3000 or
-- Valassis Direct Mail, Inc. - 800-437-0479 or
-- Epsilon Data Services - send an email to abacusoptout@epsilon.com with "remove" in the subject line, and your full name (including middle initial) and address. If you have moved in the past 6 months, include that information as well.
I highly recommend setting up a command center to process your mail. Here’s a few of my top suggestions to help organize this space:
✨ Thirty-One Your Way Display Bin:
If you want a larger "inbox" or somewhere to put your incoming papers that you can process later.
✨ Wall File System:
This is a similar concept to the Thirty-One Wall Pocket system that I show in the video. You can have one be for mail and one for shred, or set up a pocket for each of your children to handle incoming papers.
✨ Thirty-One Fold N File
An alternative to a wall organization system. You can set this up on your counter with folders for mail, bills, to file, etc. or one for each of your children as shown in the video. This is also a great system for homeschooling moms!
