Avengers: Endgame was the biggest cinematic event in years and brought the Infinity Saga to a close in the most epic way possible. The Mad Titan Thanos was taken down and dusted along with the rest of his army, but is he actually gone for good? While many MCU fans are quick to say yes, we wouldn’t be so sure. Thanos may be alive and well somewhere in the Soul World and could be planning his escape in the near future.
The Soul World is a pocket dimension in the MCU where souls reside. We’ve actually even seen a scene take place there in Avengers: Infinity War when Thanos is talking to little Gamora. It’s been memed to death, but it was an important scene for this theory since we have reason to believe all those who were dusted go to the Soul World. If all the dusted Avengers went to the Soul World when Thanos snapped his fingers, doesn’t that mean Thanos is in the Soul World after Iron Man’s snap? If he is, then there’s definitely a way out for the Mad Titan whether it involves Black Widow or someone we haven't been introduced to yet who has a connection with the Soul Stone, Adam Warlock.
