Rustic Height chart made from silver birch logs

This was a bit of fun, trying to make something from a load of logs as opposed to buying materials.
After milling the silver birch logs into slabs I decided to have a go at making a height chart / growth chart. I will be making one of these out of oak so i used this as a practice run.
I wanted to make a rustic piece of furniture and was intrigued to know if I could use the silver birch for other projects In the future.
I think it turned out pretty good and I quite like the look of the wood grain.

The dodgy intro to this video was a result of the excitement running through my body when I woke up to find that my new dust mask and dust bags had been delivered. I do need to get out more!
