A series of expose on the poor maintenance and upkeep of the iconic Azan Pir Dargah near Sivasagar has drawn the attention of Assam PWD and Finance minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. Sarma has informed that once the model code of conduct for the Lok Sabha elections get over, he would personally visit the iconic Dargah and do the needful.
Sarma has also assured total repair of the road leading to the Dargah, currently in a dilapidated state.
