New Treatment Enables Doctors To Remove LDL Cholesterol From Blood

UPI reports that researchers may have found a treatment that will allow doctors to remove "bad cholesterol" from your blood in a matter of hours. A procedure known as LDL apheresis was shown to lower LDL cholesterol levels of heart attack patients by 50 to 80 percent The study which was funded by the Department of Veterans Affairs was presented this week at the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions 2019 Scientific Sessions in Las Vegas. The study was funded by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
