Why Kurt Busiek is a Great Avengers Writer

There have been a lot of writers on various Avengers titles over the years. When you come up with a top 5 list, Kurt Busiek is likely to make it into that list. Why is that? I argue it's his unique combination of attention to character history and voice, and his use of "reconstruction," a counter-point to the years of deconstruction in comics.
