Government officials had prior knowledge about the horrific attacks in Sri Lanka but nothing much could be done to avert them, prime minister Ranil Wickremesenghe has said. No group has taken immediate responsibility for the coordinated attacks till now but Sri Lankan government suspects the hand of some religious extremist group.
