Krystal Tantric Motivatinal Message on Yoga: “I was 28 years old. By this time in my life I had been about a year postpartum from my third child. I had been working out really hard, and my youngest daughter had been diagnosed with autism. My body and mind were under a lot of stress. .
.
I was actually first introduced to yoga from a DVD that I got from McDonalds when I ordered a salad! I had never heard of yoga. I then ran across yoga again while I was at my gym and decided to try the class out of curiosity because I felt my body needed something different. .
.
It was a power yoga class, and I loved it!! It was the first time I was introduced to the idea that my body deserved self love and care outside of just me trying to accomplish a goal. It also was just a lot of fun!! .
.
We ended up moving to a different city that same year, and I stopped going to classes and started to train for marathons smh lol! I didn’t return to yoga til two years later when I signed up for teacher training to make some extra money while I trained for track. It was than I learned that yoga was much more than just an exercise. Even then, it took a whole year later for me to get serious about my yoga practice when I got injured from running track because I realized it maybe the only thing that would help me heal. Yoga has been helping me heal ever since body, soul, and mind, which is what I love most about the practice”
