LIVE: Live outside Moscow court considering to place Calvey under house arrest Russia’s Investigative Committee of Russia is requesting that founder of Baring Vostok private equity firm Michael Calvey be placed under house arrest instead of custody. The Basmanny District Court in Moscow will consider the Investigative Committee’s request on Thursday.
Calvey is to be detained until 13 April in connection with a "large-scale fraud" probe along with five other employees of Baring Vostok.
Russia’s Investigative Committee launched a criminal case into the embezzlement of 2.5 bln rubles ($37.5 mln) from Vostochny Bank on February 13. Michael Calvey is the key defendant in the case.
