Cormek's Story - Oblivion: Episode 8 | A Peculiar Contract

Cormek's Story - Oblivion: Episode 8 | A Peculiar Contract Sorry about the odd intro; for some reason OBS started recording a second or two late.

Cormek's Story is a long let's play focused around a main character, Cormek, who is the bastard child of Uriel Septim, the late emperor, and a married Breton woman. When the Breton woman learned she was pregnant, she did not know whether the baby was Uriel's or her husband's because she was trying for a baby with her husband whilst the affair was going on; however, she did not care whose child Cormek was, she just knew that she wanted to raise the child as her own. She gave birth to Cormek and moved to High Rock with her husband, who was also a Breton, so their child could grow up among his own people. Shortly after, his mother was killed by bandits, taking the knowledge that Cormek might be Uriel's to the grave. After several years, Cormek got a letter stating that one of his relatives from his mother's side died and left him a property in Cyrodiil, Frostcrag Spire. His mother's side of the family were wizards, so Cormek wanted to be one too; however, he only knew a few spells, and he didn't know where else to begin, so he sailed from High Rock to Anvil in order to locate this new property and start the life of a wizard. Once reaching Frostcrag Spire, however, he learns that the tower is completely unfurnished, yet he lacks the funds to furnish it, putting his wizarding dream on standby. While looking through the Imperial City for a way to collect the funds, he stumbles upon Armand Christophe, a Thieves Guild doyen and recruiter. After a brief conversation, he is given a test, which he only just barely passes, granting him a position as a new Thieves Guild recruit and access to a fence in Bruma. After a few petty robberies in the Imperial City and Bruma, Cormek decided to do something very ambitious... He decided to rob the vault in Castle Bruma. His heist was successful, and he made some money off of his fence, Ongar, but it was still not nearly enough. Later, Cormek decided to finish his Dark Brotherhood initiation by visiting ol' Rufio, just as Lucien LaChance instructed. Cormek is assigned his first contract for the Dark Brotherhood, which he carries out with a little bit of complication. After he finished, he rooted out a spy for the Thieves Guild. Cormek's business with Christophe is finished, so he pursues more Dark Brotherhood contracts until he has a reason to go to Bravil to meet his new doyen; one such contract involved breaking into the Imperial City Prison, which went poorly, yet he managed to accomplish his mission and leave without getting a bounty or forfeiting his bonus. After this, he is given a most peculiar contract: he had to fake a man's death, so that the man's debt collectors would stop coming after him. Cormek carried it out anyways, and now he must wait for the man's "body" to be delivered to the chapel undercroft.
