Singing superstar Adele and her husband, entrepreneur and philanthropist Simon Konecki, have separated.
The British pop singer's representatives Benny Tarantini and Carl Fysh confirmed the news Friday in a statement to The Associated Press.
"Adele and her partner have separated," the statement said. "They are committed to raising their son together lovingly. As always they ask for privacy. There will be no further comment."
Their son, Angelo, is six.
Konecki co-founded Life Water, an eco-friendly brand of bottled water in the U.K. Funds from the company assists the charity that Konecki runs, Drop4Drop, which provides clean water to countries in need.
A representative for Konecki could not be reached, the AP reported.
Adele, 30, and Konecki were introduced in 2011 and kept a low profile until she broke the news of her pregnancy on her personal website in 2012.
Adele confirmed their marriage in 2017, just weeks after winning five Grammys including song, record and album of the year. In her acceptance speech, she referred to Konecki as her husband.
"Grammys, I appreciate it," she said in the speech. "The Academy I love you. My manager, my husband and my son, you're the only reason I do it."
In late March, Adele and Jennifer Lawrence were spotted at a gay bar in New York. When Adele was brought on stage and asked if she was "single or taken," the singer responded, "I'm married."
