No Poo Method is No Good! (and LUSH products)!

No Poo Method is No Good! (and LUSH products)! Have you heard of this 'no poo' hair craze? Yeah, it's basically where you use baking soda to shampoo and apple cider vinegar to rinse your hair. I tried it for a month, and my experience was not hot.

Now I will tell you: I gave it a month, I held out. I researched and did it to a TEE! I left no stone unturned, as I wanted to ensure I did this the most scientific way possible.

My hair looked OK but felt totally gross. Plus, it was not moisturized, no matter how many times I brushed it with the right brush. I really dedicated myself to this no poo method, and I was thoroughly disappointed with it. I also learned that baking soda can actually strip your hair shaft and over time, degrade your hair altogether. I did some more research and tried using clay to shampoo my hair. Terrible experience. The whole thing is not good. And I really, truly care about my hair.

So, what I decided in the end was to give LUSH a try, since I am looking for ways to use more natural products, and to take better care of my hair. I ended up trying Seanick, Big Shampoo, American Cream conditioner, and Big conditioner bar. They were all fabulous and an amazing reprieve from the baking soda and apple cider vinegar experience.

I had no luck with this method, and have since come to really enjoy the LUSH products mentioned above. What has been your experience with no poo?
