Popularity Contest by Nathan L Morrison

02/24/2019: Popularity does not equate to being right (Matthew 7:13-14)

Don't follow someone or something just because it is popular!

While good things can be popular it is not the popularity that makes a thing right or wrong!

The Scriptures provide examples of popularity contests and their disastrous effects!

Rehoboam (II Chronicles 10:6-19)

Jeroboam (I Kings 12:25-33; II Chronicles 13:4-12)

Pilate (Mark 15:6-15; John 19:19-22)

Let us not seek to win the “popularity contest” but seek to obey God and conform to His Son! (Romans 8:29; 12:1-2)
