'Lightsaber Dueling' recognized as official sports in France

佛, 스타워즈 '광선 검'을 정식 스포츠 종목으로 인정

The French fencing federation has officially recognized Lightsaber Dueling, involving the famed weapon from the Star Wars movie, as a competitive sport.
The first player to win 15 points or whoever has the highest score after three minutes wins.
Standing in a circle marked in tape,... the players,... holding their LED-lit lightsaber, can hit their opponent on the head to earn five points.
Hitting a leg or arm is worth three points, while hitting the hand gets you a single point.
The Associated Press explained the decision is aimed at encouraging more people to play sports.
