Brexit highlights: parliament votes for amendment on replacing Irish backstop

MPs passed a non-binding motion on Tuesday night calling on the government to rule out leaving the EU on 29 March without a divorce agreement, by 318 votes to 310. The Commons rejected Theresa May's Brexit deal this month, and voted on Tuesday on a series of options for next steps. However, the EU insists the Brexit agreement cannot be reopened
