Banksy's $1.1m self-shredding ‘Love is in the Bin’ exhibited in Germany

A painting by anonymous British artist Banksy which famously shred itself after being sold at an auction went on display at a museum in the south-western town of Baden-Baden on Tuesday.

'Love is in the Bin' sold for £860,000 (€976,000; US$1.12m) at a London auction in October, before a shredding device hidden in its frame ate up two-thirds of the painting.

Director of Museum Frieda Burda Henning Schaper said that the museum had deactivated the frame's shredder in order to prevent the work from being further destroyed.
