The Flexible Dieter vs Rigid Dieter | Which is Better?

The Flexible Dieter vs Rigid Dieter | Which is Better?

Which type of dieter are you?
The rigid dieter asks himself - “Can I maintain this diet long enough to reach my fitness goal?”
The flexible dieter asks himself - “Can I sustain this way of eating for the rest of my life?”
- John is trying to lose some pesky belly fat.
- He’s on a rigid ‘clean’ diet (no bad foods allowed his trainer said)
- Goes to a big party.
- Sees forbidden foods everywhere, loses his willpower
- Eats a pizza, freaks out “I just gained 3.5 pounds of fat…”
- Diet’s screwed, let’s binge.
- Wakes up, looks in mirror disgusted, repeats cycle…
- His buddy Scott is also trying to get leaner.
- He knows what works based on science and has a different flexible approach to dieting.
- He goes to this party as well.
- Sees some good food, expected and planned for it.
- Eats a couple pizzas, some cake, a couple drinks.
- Chills out, has a good time, not worried about fat gain.
- Wakes up, looks in mirror, looking leaner…
Who has a better relationship with food here? (and most likely to make great progress)
Sooner or later you’ll realize that being on a restrictive rigid diet, 99% of the time will lead to failure with your fitness goals...
On the other hand - a flexible diet allows you to have freedom with your diet without the stress and guilt or fat gain when you get this right - letting you have the body and lifestyle you want.
