Jonathan Frakes Thinks 'Star Trek' Creator Would Be Pleased With Franchise

Comicbook.com reports 'Star Trek' actor Jonathan Frakes thinks the creator of Star Trek would be happy with the franchise today.

Frakes played William Riker in 'Star Trek: The Next Generation,' going on to direct episodes of TNG, Deep Space Nine, and Voyager.

Frakes also directed the films 'Star Trek: First Contact' and 'Star Trek: Insurrection' and has worked on the latest series "Discovery."

[Alex Kurtzman]’s very kind which I really like... He’s very smart and he’s very encouraging. I like his Discovery family and I like the freedom that he encourages.
