Energy Minister gave a commitment that outstanding backpay owed to former Petrotrin employees will be disbursed in the near future.
His reassurance comes following a protest staged by former temporary workers of the now-defunct company on Monday, calling for monies owed to be paid.
Addressing the matter in the Senate on Tuesday, Minister Franklin Khan said the calculations for the 1,060 workers are ongoing.
Minister Khan denied that there were any outstanding severance payments to be made.
